Spiritual Message February 2009

‘I’

When you listen to yourself or another talking ‘I’ is said many times. This ‘I’ appears to dominate our lives. Is the ‘I’ what we call the ego or ahamkara (what we generally regard as self, when really the spirit within is the real Self) that believes it is the only one who can do or know anything? This ‘I’ has a wonderful way of thinking it works alone especially when kudos is needed, when it wishes to feel important.

No one works alone. When first starting to work, my colleagues said that it was ‘we’ not  ‘I’ when speaking to the public, for we worked together as a team, wonderful advice.

Let us work together as a team with the spirit within. Let the spirit within be our help and guide through life’s many traumas. No one works alone, unless we ignore the directions of the spirit.

Of course there may come a day even within this lifetime when there is only one doing all that we need to do, that is when we have realised who we are and what we are, pure spirit - it is the spirit alone that we are. No longer are there two, just one living and working through this body.
