What is the Holistic Approach?
The holistic approach to cancer (or any disease) involves treating THE WHOLE PERSON. It sees cancer as a disease of the whole system which needs to be tackled vigorously on a number of different levels — physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
It involves a wide range of therapeutic techniques; counselling, naturopathy, joining a support group, correct exercise, homeopathy, the use of vitamins and wholefood diet, spiritual healing and visualisation techniques are just a few. The holistic approach differs from conventional medicine by using the cancer to bring about lasting changes to the patient’s body, mind and spirit.
